(From Pete)
The CareFest project that I am leading is a garden project at Templeton Elementary School. It is open to all ages, and is a family friendly site. Templeton Elementary School has a garden that provides food for the Free Family Market, a free food pantry that distributes food each week to the needy. We would like help tending the garden as well as help with covering the off site green house. Supplies and tools needed are gardening tools.
We will meet at the church at 8:00am. We should be on-site by 9:00, and should be done around noon.
There maybe a limited number of spaces on this site, so check out the sign-up sheets in the foyer. If you can’t participate in this project, there are a lot of other projects of different types. Also, if you are going to be out that weekend, there is an alternate date project over the weekend of Memorial Day.
If you have any questions, feel free to email me

Easter Service Project
Looking for a way to serve this Easter?
This year we are giving SOCC Invite boxes out to our guests on Easter. We will need to put together approximately 500 boxes.
We will meet on Tuesday night at 530pm to assemble. We definitely need your help for this task! I’ll provide pizza or some type of food for the evening… probably pizza. We will either meet in Room R362 (upstairs) or out in the welcome center.
Please email Eric Hafner at ehafner@socc.org and let him know if you can help! The more people we have, the less time it will take! Thanks in advance for your servic

Camping Trip to Paynetown
April 20-22
Join us for a weekend in the great outdoors. The Young Married class will be camping at Paynetown (20 minutes away) April 20-22! We are still working out pricing, but will let you know as soon as possible. If you do not have camping gear, please let Josh Randall or Rick Hullinger know and they will help you out. This is an adults-only weekend without childcare, but no children, please! If you are interested in joining the fun, contact Josh Randall at josh.randall@yahoo.com by March 28th. If you would like to come out for the day on Saturday and not camp, that is fine, too.
